Favorite Hair Products!

I wanted to share some of my favorite hair products I use all the time and walk you through my hair care!  I am lucky to have thick, healthy Persian hair, which is why it's important for me to maintain my hair so it always looks healthy and full.  People ALWAYS think I am wearing hair extensions, but I never have!

First off, regular hair cuts and trims are very important.  A lot of people think a hair cut is only needed to chop off lots of inches or when you need a serious style change (I used to be that way).  I've really learned that getting regular trims, just to upkeep is super important and helps with growth. Many girls are so afraid to cut their hair because they have a tough time growing it.  In reality, hair trims HELP growth and will cut off damaged or dry ends to keep your hair healthy.  My hair grows EXTREMELY fast, which is why I am frequently getting hair cuts and not afraid to cut off a little more than necessary.  Many of you ask who cuts my hair on my Instagram and it is the one and only Tyron Dupre!  I fell in love with the way he cuts and styles my hair. He literally gives my hair life! Ladies, he is amazing!  His info can be found on his Instagram: @TyronDupre

I have A LOT of thick hair, which is great, but also a pain to blow dry and style!  Below are the products I personally use the most that work for me, but might not work for every hair type.

Let me know if you guys have used any of these products or can recommend any as well!

Shampoos & Conditioners

Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner: I have been using this shampoo for awhile and it definitely works for my hair.  They have many different formulas, including volumizing, targeting curly hair, strength care etc., but I love the hydrating one because it keeps my ends from being dry and does exactly what it says, hydrates!  I also have color in my hair, so this purple based shampoo is helps keep my hair from turning brassy.

OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo & Conditioner:  Besides the Pureology shampoos and conditioner, I like to throw this one in every now and then.  I like to almost "shock" my hair and intertwine different formulas to keep it healthy.  This is a great formula you can find at any drug store and I love it because it has a great coconut scent!

Masks & Treatments

Phyto Phytospecific Rich Hydration Mask- In the same way your face needs a facial or a great hydrating mask, your hair functions the same way.  I love this one by Phyto.  You leave it on for 15 minutes and it really leaves your hair healthy, shiny and hydrated.  I like to do this once a week.  They also have different formulas targeting different problem areas.

Redken Butter Mask: For those of you that have lighter hair, this mask works great!  When I was a lot lighter, almost blonde, I used this mask once a week and it really did wonders!  It is inexpensive and a very creamy texture.

Moroccan Oil: This oil is EVERYWHERE and I'm sure you have all heard or use this product, but I do absolutely love it.  I apply a couple pumps to my towel dried ends and work up.  I don't like to apply it to my roots because it will weigh down your volume.

Josie Maran Bohemian Wave Mist: I love ALL Josie Maran products and what her entire line is all about.  I use this product when I am lazy to do my hair and it really does leave you with an effortless beach like wave.  It works best for me when used on towel dried hair.  I spritz a good amount in and tie my hair up in a loose bun.  Effortless, yet sexy hair!

Paul Mitchell Spray Wax: I love this stuff!  I use this when I have curled or added waves to my hair.  This stuff is sticky, so be careful how much you spray!  I love the look of effortless waves vs very tight curls, so this really gives you that messy, unfinished, yet sexy look.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: Of course I had to have this on here!  I use this spray probably every time I style my hair.  It's great to spray on to give your hair movement after you have styled it and I also use it as dry shampoo to get rid of greasy roots!  Love the way it smells too!

Bed Head After Party Smoothing Cream:  I use this cream mainly for updos.  It is great to get that slick back pony or perfect top knot.  I have lots of baby hairs that always want to stick out, so this cream really does give you a flawless, smooth finish.

Moroccan Oil Hair Spray: I love this hair spray because it gives you volume and it is light. I hateeeee heavy hair sprays that weigh your hair down and make it sticky!  Plus, this smells really good too!

Neutrals with a Pop of Color

I love pairing neutral colors with a pop of color.  In this case, I used my bag to incorporate a bright orange color to my look.  I absolutely love my big bright orange Balenciaga bag.  I tend to use it for work a lot or when I have business meetings because it has plenty of room to fit all my documents and work items.  Let me know what you think of this look and you can shop the entire outfit below!

Casual outfit I wore last week on my way to get my hair cut!  My hair was soooo long and I needed a fresh style and trim!  I am obsessed with these American Apparel tank dresses.  I literally have them in every single color.  They are so flattering on the body and accentuate your curves like no other.  I paired them with a strappy nude heel and my favorite nude Chanel flap bag.  Shop my whole outfit below:
