About Rozita Soraya Ezzatian

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

FAQS

Where did you go to school and how did you start your career?

I attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, majoring in Product Development.  Once I graduated in 2009, I launched my women’s contemporary line, Soraya By Rozi.  I have always had a passion for anything creative and love the design process.  Soraya By Rozi was sold all over the USA and the exclusive merchandiser for many TV shows.  After many years of experience in the industry, branding, consulting and marketing came hand in hand.

Having your own company truly gives you the experience needed in every single department to properly run a brand. I then started helping other companies build their brands, fashion lines and marketing them properly.  I also launched my two online boutiques, ShopNoche.com & CameliaBoutique.com

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I was then brought on board as the Chief Operating Officer of Miss Pap, which has been an incredible experience!

Where does the name Soraya come from?

Soraya is my middle name and it means “Princess” in Farsi.  I originally named my women’s line Soraya, because that is exactly how I wanted every woman to feel when wearing my clothing.  I feel that I do so many things in this industry and work many roles, so I wanted to create a  home base, World of Soraya, to give everyone a glimpse in my world of not only work, but everything I am passionate about; travel, food, health, beauty etc!

What advice would you give young entrepreneurs?

Never give up on your dreams!  I can’t tell you the amount of times I was turned down or not taken seriously as a young 20 year old starting my business, but it never knocked me down.  I used to go door to door with a suitcase of samples, begging reps to take a look at my line.  The same people that wouldn’t even take a meeting with me, eventually started working for me down the line!  I always think if you want something bad enough, you put the work in and dream about it everyday, you can truly make it your reality.

Another piece of advice I would say is NETWORK.  Especially in this industry, no one is going to come knocking on your door.  You need to get your name out there as much as possible!
